Conference Carolinas All-Conference Teams Announced For Women's Tennis

High Point, N.C. - The Conference Carolinas All-Conference Teams were determined for participating league institutions.  Individual awards were also named for Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, Coach of the Year, All-Conference First Team, All-Conference Second Team and All-Conference Third Team.  Awards were presented at the league tennis team banquet at the Conference Tournament Championships co-hosted by Erskine College and the Palmetto Park Tennis Complex in Sumter, S.C.  This year's award winners are as follows:

 

WOMEN'S TENNIS:

 

Player of the Year:

Alexandra Boulbin, Limestone College
 

In one of the finest season's in the history of Limestone College women's tennis, sophomore Alexandra Boublin (Lausanne, Switzerland) finished the season with perfect 11-0 conference records in both singles and doubles to become the program's first ever Conference Carolinas Player of the Year recipient. The Switzerland native was the epitome of consistency as she finished the regular season with a 14-3 overall from her No. 2 singles position. While completing only two overall shutouts, Boulbin has recorded nine shutout sets in total. She also only lost to one NCAA Division II competitor all season with the other two defeats coming against Division I opponents

 

 

Freshman of the Year:

Camille Duhan, North Greenville University

 

The North Greenville University women's tennis team had their best season yet and finished 5th in the conference. Freshman, Camille Duhan (Villiers Sur Seine, France) helped bring victories to the women's team with her consistent wins in positions #3 and #4 in singles and #2 in doubles. She finished her first season at North Greenville University with a record of 7-4 in singles and 8-2 in doubles. Duhan is majoring in International Business and currently has a cumulative GPA of 3.6. 

 
 

Coach of the Year:

Alan Ferguson, Limestone

 

In his second full season over the Limestone College tennis programs, head coach Alan Ferguson has guided his women's team to its first ever Conference Carolinas Women's Tennis Regular Season Championship. Bolstered by a lineup that featured the Conference Player of the Year and five, in total, All-Conference members, Ferguson led the Saints to a perfect 11-0 record in league play. The Blue and Gold attained an impressive .894 (59-7) mark in singles matches and won a staggering .909 (30-3) of their doubles contests.

 

The record-breaking season also saw Limestone defeat perennial conference champion Erskine College for the first time ever on March 15.
