GREENVILLE, S.C. - Bartlomiej Swiderski of Barton has been selected as the Conference Carolinas Men’s Swimmer of the Week.
The league office made the official announcement on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019.
A freshman from Warsaw, Poland, Swiderski was fantastic in his first-ever meet at Barton, finishing first in three events and helping to two relay wins as well in victories over Lees-McRae and Chowan in Rocky Mount, N.C.
In the 100-yard backstroke, Swiderski claimed first with a time of 51.26. He finished first in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 51.86. In the 200-yard individual medley, Swiderski’s time of 1:54.58 was a school record.
He helped Barton to wins as noted in the 400-yard medley (3:33.05) and the 200-yard medley (1:35.30).
