GREENVILLE, S.C. - Alberto Avila of Erskine has been chosen as the recipient of the Conference Carolinas Biweekly Men's Golfer Award for Oct. 16, 2019.
A freshman out of Sanlucar De Barrameda, Spain, Avila claimed top honors at the Donald Ross Intercollegiate this past week (70-67-68=205). Avila owned a stroke average of 68.3 in securing individual medalist honors among a field of 93 golfers. The Flying Fleet as a team finished third in the event played at the Mimosa Hills Golf and Country Club in Morganton, N.C.
