Two Conference Carolinas Basketball Players Named to Google Cloud Academic All-District Teams

HIGH POINT, N.C. - Conference Carolinas was represented by two basketball student-athletes on the 2018-19 Google Cloud Academic All-District Basketball Teams, selected by CoSIDA, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced Thursday (Feb. 22) afternoon.

Belmont Abbey College's Ben Ferguson was the men's basketball representatives, while Brea Forbes of Lees-McRae College was the women's basketball honoree.

All first team Academic All-District honorees will advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team (if applicable)  All-America selections will be announced in mid-March.

Conference Carolinas is a NCAA Division II athletics conference made up of 11 teams from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. These institutions consist of: Barton College, Belmont Abbey College, Converse College, Emmanuel College, Erskine College, King University, Lees-McRae College, Limestone College, University of Mount Olive, North Greenville University, and Southern Wesleyan University.
