Conference Carolinas Names 2018-19 Spring Scholar Athletes of the Year - Men's Tennis

High Point, N.C.Conference Carolinas is proud to announce the 2019 Spring Scholar Athletes of the Year, as voted on by the Student-Athlete Affairs Committee. This prestigious award is presented annually to one student-athlete in each sport for recognition of their outstanding performance both on the field and in the classroom.

Candidates are submitted by member institutions for each of the conference’s twenty-three sponsored sports. To be considered for the honor, the student-athlete must have been named Academic All-Conference, which entails having attended their member institution for at least one year and having reached junior or senior standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher on a 4-point scale. Scholar Athletes of the Year must also be represented on their sport’s First, Second, or Third All-Conference Team, the rosters of which are chosen by coaches at the end of each playing season.  This spring's class of honorees holds an impressive average GPA of 3.80.  
Men's Tennis Award Winner
Martin Moser - University of Mount Olive

A Second-Team All-Conference and Elite 23 Award Winner, Martin Moser wrapped up a successful season in his senior year on the University of Mount Olive men's tennis team. Originally from Voecklabruck, Austria, Moser led the Trojans both on the court and in the classroom. Holding an impressive 3.942 GPA as a business statistics major, Moser was named to the Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll, as well as the Academic All-Conference and All-Tournament teams. Collecting a conference record of 7-2 and overall record of 11-5, Moser helped the Trojans win the regular season title and a runner-up tournament finish.
